Validation of European Patent Submission
Filing an application for validation of European Patent Submission
Given that European Patent Organisation grants and publishes the European Patent, which includes the Republic of Cyprus among the selected states of protection, you can apply, within 3 months from its grant date, for the validation of the European patent submission in the Republic of Cyprus.
Submission of Application
The application for submitting a European patent translation (form Π.17) is submitted, by hand / post, to the Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property accompanied by:
- form B1 provided by the European Patent Organisation and its certified translation in Greek language;
- certified translation in Greek language of all texts and drawings, if any, of the application for granting a European patent, either by an affidavit or by sworn translator of the Republic of Cyprus;
- the form for authorising an agent (form Π.8);
- the fee of one hundred euro (€100).
It is noted that the fees are payable in cash, by cheque, through an account maintained with the Department of Registrar Companies and Intellectual Property or through bank transfer.
