After Granting

Provided that your invention meets the prerequisites of the law for protection and the annual renewal fees are paid on time, the validation of European Patent Submission in the Republic of Cyprus, provides you the same legal protection as the national patent for twenty (20) years or up to twenty-five (25) years in case of granting a Supplementary Protection Certificate for Pharmaceutical or plant-protection products or up to twenty-five (25) years and six (6) months in case of paediatric pharmaceutical products.

Non-timely renewal of your patent leads to annulment of the patent, and in such case the protection rights provided to you by the law are lost.
