About Industrial Design

Locarno Classification is an international classification system for industrial designs and models, which is managed by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). The said system provides an internationally recognised classification system of products in relation to what can be submitted as an industrial design or model.

The Intellectual Property Section follows the said classification system and we advise our applicants, during the preparation of their applications, all references to products to be based on the terms of the Locarno classification.
