About Industrial Design

By submitting your industrial design, you acquire exclusive rights of use over the design and you can object to its unauthorised use by third persons.

Additionally, the rights of a submitted industrial design constitute assets of your enterprise and may be sold or treated otherwise commercially exploited for monetary compensation.

You may protect your industrial design or model in the Republic of Cyprus by submitting a relevant application to the Intellectual Property Section. The duration of protection provided by law is for a maximum period of twenty-five (25) years (provided that the renewal fees prescribed by law are paid every five years).
