Guidance
Managing a trademark as a property object
Security interest, enforced execution or insolvency proceedings
A registered trademark may:
- constitute a pledge;
- constitute other security interest;
- constitute an object of enforced execution; or
- be subject to insolvency proceedings.
The applicant for trademark registration, or beneficiary of registered trademark, must inform accordingly the Intellectual Property Section by submitting the form Ε.Σ 10.
Filing of application
You may submit an application for filing alterations to the register (form Ε.Σ 10), hand / post, by paying the fee of one hundred and eighteen euro (€118) for every filing, amendment or annulment.
The fees above are payable in cash, by cheque, directly from an account you maintain in the Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property, or by bank order.
In case where the conditions for filing the above are not met, the Section informs you accordingly and requests that you take corrective actions within two (2) months. In case of non-compliance, the application is dismissed.
Provided that the Section is satisfied that all conditions are met, it proceeds with the updating of the trademarks register.
In case you wish to request the issuance of certified or uncertified copies, you may submit an application for obtaining trademark's certified copies.
