Nice Classification
Products or services for which an application for trademark registration is filed, are classified in various categories (classes). Nice classification is the classification system of products and services on the basis of the Nice agreement, as this is amended from time to time.
According to the Nice classification, there are 45 classes of products and services. Classes 1 to 34 include products, while classes 35 to 45 include services.
A title is provided for each class which indicatively describes the products or services it covers, as well as explanatory notes regarding the terms of the products or services that fall within the class. The title of each class may not cover all products or services of such class.
The Intellectual Property Section implements the Nice classification and advices the submitters, during the preparation of their applications, to make the references to products and services on the basis of the terms available in the harmonised database of the TMclass tool. You can search in the terms of classes on the basis of Nice classification in various languages, including Greek.
