What is Neighbouring Right?
Neighbouring right, contrary to copyright which protects the creator, provides protection to:
- performers or executors, such as:
- actors;
- musicians;
- singers;
- choirs;
- dancers;
- theatrical puppeteers;
- shadow theatre artists;
- variety show artists; or
- circus artists;
- phonogram producers;
- producers of audio-visual works;
- television and radio broadcasting organisations; and
- publishers.
