Collective Management Organisations are authorised organisations whose exclusive or main purpose is the management of copyrights or neighbouring rights on behalf of creators and beneficiaries, for the collective benefit thereof.

Collective management organisations must belong to or be controlled by their members, and/or have been organised on a non-profit basis.

The competent authority for purposes of controlling the implementation of the relevant legislation, governing the collective copyright management is the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Authority. The said authority, among others, maintains the register with which all collective management organisations providing services in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus are registered.
