The above graph depicts the total number of international patent applications submitted to the Intellectual and Industrial Property Section and transmitted to the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), as at 31st of December of each year, from 2006 until 2018.

During the reference period, there is an upward trend from 2006 until and including 2018. Overall, the number of international patent applications that were transmitted has increased by approximately 71%.
