The third application period of the “Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund” scheme through which SMEs could apply for a 50% reimbursement of the basic registration fee for Trademarks and Designs ended on 31 May 2021. During that period the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has received a total number of 12 reimbursement applications on trade mark and/or design basic application fees from Cypriot SMEs and 25 reimbursement applications from SMEs operating in Cyprus.

The public can be informed about the required conditions, the schedule and other information related to the program through the website Ideas Powered for Business at the following link: https://euipo.europa.eu/ohimportal/en/online-services/sme-fund. Τhe public can also find information at the same link about how to submit applications during the next application period which will be 01/07/2021-31/07/2021.

The Registrar of Companies encourages Cypriot companies to take advantage of the “Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund” scheme and proceed with the registration of their trademarks and industrial designs during the next application period.
